Dear all,
Two months ago, we met with 8 Legislative Council members (4 were party leaders) through the Legco Complaint Section. All 8 legislators unanimously supported our demand for the reopening of the secondary school in Mui Wo. As a fellow-up action, the 8 legislators will hold a case conference with the representatives of the Education Bureau on November 19, 2010 (Firday) at 11:00am at Legco Conference Room .
Our syncronized action:
1. 08:45 ferry (slow); wear white T-shirt with logo (if not, wear white as much as poss.)
2. 10:00 arrive Legco; Tony and Rainbow will help setting up the Wishing Tree
3. 10:30 press/media arrival
4. 10:50 delivering over 500 pre-registration forms to EDB representatives;
5. 11:00 those who can't stay can leave; those who can will wait for news from legislators after the meeting (12:00 noon)
Nov 19 (FRI) is a normal working/school day, and we do need as many people as possible to show our determination. The school is not just for parents with school age children, it is also an important community facility for social assembly and evening youth and adult continuing education centre, etc. All residents of South Lantau are most welcome to come and show support.
Please spread the word and bring as many family and friends as possible. Together we will make it!
