Hope you're all enjoying the seasonal weather - tell me again why we don't have central heating???
Well, weather permitting we are going to have two sessions of caroling to
a) foster community spirit b) get everyone in the mood for Christmas
c) drink lots of mulled wine
Oh, and of course, the main reason, which is to raise funds for the HKSPCC Residential Home and send the kids there a little something to let them know we're thinking of them. To this end, we will pass the hat amongst singers and watchers at the end of our performance and ask that people put in whatever they can afford and feel comfortable with. If that's 10 cents then so be it.
If you haven't been to rehearsal, no worries, I will put a link to the lyrics and you can print song sheets - they are all well known carols. If you can't make it to both sessions then try to make it to one in whatever capacity you prefer - singer, audience, bringer of mulled wine...
There will be two sessions:
Saturday 18th Dec, 6.30 pm, just outside the gates at Butterfly Crest - we will gather there at 6.15 for a warm up and to let the surrounding residents know that we have arrived.
DRESS WARMLY, WEAR RED IF POSSIBLE, SOMETHING CUTE ON KIDS ALWAYS A BONUS!
If you can, bring a flask of mulled wine or hot chocolate - I will bring cups - and if you have some kind of lantern (not glass for the kids) for added atmosphere that would be great.
Sunday, 19th of Dec, 4.15pm, outside the China Bear.
Same thing, but without the lanterns and mulled wine.
Please help me to make this a successful community event by showing your support and joining us in making a joyful noise. All welcome so tell your friends, your neighbours, your helpers, your bin lady and the guy who always wears pyjamas in Park n Shop.
Many thanks for the support and enthusiasm you have all shown for my latest venture. The diversity, warmth and kindness of the South Lantau community is something I enjoy and appreciate more than I can say.
Warmest wishes for a Merry Christmas,
Love from
Bizzie Lizzie
